Emrys McMahon is an engineer living in Houston, Texas. He is currently employed at Bank of Montreal.
Prior to working at Bank of Montreal, Emrys worked as an associate at Deutsche Bank. Emrys was employed as a Reservoir Engineer for ExxonMobil in the Houston Area from 2013 to 2018. When he first began at ExxonMobil, Emrys was in the Exploration, A&D, and Development department evaluating undiscovered, undeveloped and discovered, and undeveloped projects to mine for potential acquisition. After nearly three years working in this department, Emrys moved within the ExxonMobil corporation to undertake development and surveillance for the Chad Polymer EOR project. In this position, he was in charge of heading up surveillance of the in-place pilot program while also providing economic evaluation for upcoming projects.
Emrys McMahon graduated in 2017 with his Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering. From 2006 to 2008, he attended South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics, laying a strong foundation for his education. From there, he attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, earning his Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from 2008 to 2013. While attending the University of South Carolina, Emrys was involved in a number of organizations and societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi, and Sigma Phi Epsilon. During that time, he also studied abroad at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, India from 2011 to 2012.
In his personal life, Emrys is an active community member. He has served on the Texas Diversity Council as a member of the Education Committee.
